I visited this beautiful coastline for the first time in October, I can't believe what has happened here. So sad :'(

This has raised the question of any real spending on coastal erosion or the complete lack of it. Practicaly the total budget for the coast has been lumped in with flooding and thats where the money is spent. At least if you unfortuanate to be flooded you still have a home when it dries out. If its taken by the sea you have nothing and insurance companies will not insure you for erosion. There is no compensation and you are not entitled to be rehomed by the council , although we hope they will help.

A sea wall is needed we have one in Caister on sea..even though we lost our beach cafe it helped the rest of the caravan parks there ...

After all the past publicity about the plight of our East Anglian coastline, this latest disaster makes the point that urgent action is now essential!!
