I lived in Hemsby unti I was 24 so have many great memories of playing on the beach and now we take our grandchildren there. So sad to see what is happening to these poor people's homes.

Having been there on the charity night and seen the devastation first hand, this is something I feel very passionate about. Not only are people losing there homes but years of family businesses are being lost too. Without Hemsby beach there will be no family holidays! The community spirit here is just phenomenal . Please do something NOW!

This government, our councils and our local MP's need to stop talking, wasting money on surveys and meetings and listen to the people of this country that they are supposed to serve. A spokesman said although the tides were higher than those in 1953 we fared better this time because we had better sea defences. This proves that they do work and it is time we all had the same protection that the huge xco

Keep them coming, and please read the description of the petition as there are details of ways to give generous donations to the poor families that have lost not only their homes, but all their possessions along with them. Christmas is a time of giving, let's give to a very needy cause together, we can make a huge difference if everyone is willing to give even just a little bit.

Some thing needs to be done about this beautiful little place now, what's the old saying charity begins at home, very true in this case... I understand we are a country that helps others in need..which is lovely but it's time the British government put some of there funds to good use closer to home and save Hemsby's coast line to.
