Thinking of the people that have lost their homes and hoping that nobody else has to suffer these awful circumstances. Best wishes to everyone involved!

I have holiday'd at Hemsby all my life, the only holiday Ive ever had and stayed the safer side of the Marrams in 2 different bungalows until the owner sold them and the risky side once which is still standing.

As already stated why if there was a major disaster abroad can our government send millions of pounds of tax payers money, yet a major disaster in our own backyard goes unnoticed? Not good enough David Cameron..time to get your priorities right.

Dear David Cameron, you talk about the big society and I solely agree with the concept. The people of Hemsby are a shining example of the Big Society, the whole community is contributing in anyway they can but this issue is too big for the community to cope with on their own. We need help from Central Government and Local Government, from the top down. We will continue to strive but without your help it is almost futile. Why can't we have sea defences just like Sea Palling which is only 10 miles up the coast, there must be a pot of money somewhere to fund this, there must be a way of getting the money. We give so much aid to foreign countries and I'm proud of the fact we are able to do this but not at the expense of our own coastline, not at the expense of the local people and businesses who have lost so much and will continue to lose until we get your help. The investment we require is a drop in the ocean compared to the billions we send abroad. So please please please take time to look at this case and d
