The building should be declared a historic building. The school board aloud Jackson High to waste away and now want to demolish the only remaining history of a black school in Jonesboro...I wonder why?

Highly recommend reconsidering the action. I am not sure if you all have considered the unintended long range negative consequences but you should NOT close Hawk. It was the first school I could remember and one of the few in the black community. Keep our heritage and please make sure you continue to maintain this historic school for generations to come. #KeepHawkOpen

Leave Hawk school why does it need to be torn down? It is serving a purpose. It would be nice if the free lunch program for the kids could start back because they need something to do. I see plenty of kids who could use that building and that program!
