1) Local resstaurants/cafes will not be amused.
2) An ageing population in the area that are taken on weekly trips to the Town Centre & Waitrose (where there is NO customer toilets) will seriously be compromised.
3) The shopping experience is what you want for Haslemere and this would be detrimental

Haslemere is a town that is supposed to be' Welcoming Walkers'. I do think Haslemere should at least provide public toilets for our visitors.

They are not the Ritz, but if you gotta go you gotta go. I use them about twice a month. When out with my children when they were young we used them loads. The need for the loo is perhaps the one true thing we all share.

The provision of public conveniences is a hallmark of a civilised society. Closing them will cause huge inconvenience, embarrassment and difficulty to town centre visitors. Not to mention avoiding mess around the town alleyways.

I need this toilet! I walk down to do my shopping if it's not too big a load and sometimes I need to use the toilet before I can safely walk back. You will be confining us elderly to our houses or cars.

These toilets are essential and any town of our size should have some public toilets. I have used them frequently.
The town is being promoted as a gateway to the South Downs National Park and trying to attract tourists - surely we need public toilets.
