I am proud of the acceptance of multiculturalism in Britain, it has contributed to a much more equal and peaceful society. Soon, parliament will be gathering to debate as to whether this country should carry on endorsing Halal meat; by discontinuing Halal meat would be a sign of pushing Britain back to the times where society was not accepting of all faiths and cultures. Many people misunderstand how the process of killing animals the 'Halal' way is undertaken; they are slit by the neck as it is the quickest way to kill them so they do not experience any pain, so actually by stunning an animal and then killing them actually causes them more pain and distress which is what many farms do. Friends, I ask you, do not allow this country to go backwards and marginalize British Muslim citizens further from society, sign this petition and prevent this from happening.
