If Denbighshire County Council close this wonderful place down, then it's service users will suffer tremendously. I have the pleasure working with these people as a community champion for Morrisons and I see how much Joy the user's get from this day centre. They are not only a group of friends but, a group of friends that have become family. The staff here are truly amazing and always go above and beyond to support the day centre users and their families. it's a home from home, a place to look forward to going to and to close it would cause absolute pain and misery to those who benefit hugely from its services. I cannot understand why it would be up for closure considering how much it costs for a week at this day centre. it is not funded by the council, it's privately paid for by its users and/or families. People with Dementia will be left at home to only get worse in their condition. Re-enablement is just not the answer for dementia sufferers. I believe that Day Centres and their staff and people like me in our community are the answer to helpin the elderly.....NOT closure of such places just to cut costs in the wrong places. I'm utterly disgraced that we are in a county where this would even be considered as a good idea!

Lonelinenn is one of the biggest problems for the elderly, and closing Day Centres does not help.

Elderly people are already so vunerable & lonely. For most, this centre is their only source of socialization and offers comfort to them. Please do not close this!! Save Hafen Deg!!
