Minnesota offers abundant opportunities to ski. If the decision is not about money, then there is literally no reason to remove the ski team as a varsity sport. The skiers are dedicated and love their sport, just as other athletes do. I am appalled by the behavior of this school.

To demote the nordic team to club status without any prior warning isn't fair to current team members or potential future participants. The lack of communication and disregard for the athletes is bewildering to me. I loved my college athletics experience; I can't imagine having the opportunity to compete at a high level suddenly taken away from me. The nordic skiers deserve better than this!

Definitely the hardest working, most committed team at Gustavus. I had the pleasure of skiing with a lot of them in high school. Completely terrible thing to do and GAC better bring it back.

Save Nordic skiing at GAC!! It has been the highlight of my daughter's college experience and a primary reason she chose to go to Gustavus. It is also why her sister is considering attending GAC next fall. A club team does not provide the same motivation for training and opportunities to compete.

Don't get rid of the Gustavus Nordic Ski team. Like all other sports and organizations that make Gustavus our home Nordic Skiing is one of them and means a lot to a large portion of the Gustavus community!
