Save Grove Park Girls' School, Wrexham

Went to school there in the sixties. Beautiful building.

I would really hate to see this beautiful old building demolished just because someone can't be bothered to put it to good use. It was known as BROMFIELD when I was there from 1974-79 and apart from the great education I received and my treasured memories, this building has the potential to be used for so many different purposes and so enable it to continue to serve the community of Wrexham... ☺

This is a beautiful building that should be renovated not demolished. Wrexham council should not be allowed to carry on the way they do with all our old buildings.

A great shame if it's not saved

I went to this school the beautiful staircase is what I remember, surely this listed building is worth saving its historic for goodness sake.

So many older buildings in Wrexham fall by the way side and get knocked down, we need to keep the towns heritage alive and start to preserve these buildings and give them a new purpose,there are so many old buildings on grosvenor road empty and boarded up its a shame to see.

I attended this school and have some fantastic memories. It is a beautiful building and should be renovated and incorporated in any new school.

the school should be preserved and integrated into the new school plans, an absolute disgrace to even consider knocking it down, plus isn't it also listed???

My late mum attended his school back in the 30's. She was so proud to have passed her 11+ and go to this lovely school. Please don't let them demolish this lovely building !

I was so proud to attend this wonderful school. The building was something that SHOULD have been treasured by the council for its architectural features (particularly the main hallway). This building needs loving attention and restoration so that others can appreciate its splendour.

I attended Grove Park 1947-1952 and was in the dance group which won at the Urdd Eisteddfod several times after which I became a professional dancer/choreographer and still have a dance college in London. Do hope Grove Park will be preserved for future generations

Such a beautiful building, our Wrexham heritage must not be demolished.

This school forms part of Wrexham's history...it has to remain.. Generations of families have walked those corridors.Without these buildings preserved in their own right,Wrexham will and is fast becoming a modern day ghost town.

I am very upset to think that there is a possibility that the school will be taken down. I attended in the 1940/50's and was a proud member of the choir which competed and won at the Llangollen Eisteddfod. I have been living in Canada since 1963.
