Please sign this petition to SAVE the bike lanes on Glenmore Avenue in the Hundred Oaks(Webb Park) neighborhood in Baton Rouge. Several residents on Glenmore have started a petition to have them removed because they want additional parking around their home. What hasn't been noted is the fact that most of these homes have very long driveways and large parking pads. If the residents need additional parking for a special event, they can submit for a parking permit from the city allowing them to use the bike lanes when needed. We are asking YOU to sign this petition so we can send it to the city council so they will know how much we value our bike lanes! Thank you for your time!

Please attend the meeting concerning the bike lanes on October 5th @ Ingleside Church in Capital Heights @ 5:30 p.m.

As a home owner and tax payer in Baton Rouge, I support walkable, bikable communities. Maybe these Glenmore residents should try getting out of their cars and enjoying their own neighborhood the way others have; they might make friends instead of enemies.

I bike to work nearly every day and pay the same taxes as all the drivers, yet there are almost no safe places to bike in BR. Bike lanes need to be expanded, not reduced. Drivers should be thanking cyclists for not contributing to congestion.

Keep our exisiting bike lanes, and add more! With the outrageous level of driver distraction I see every day, we need them more than ever. I saw a woman reading a paperback book on her steering wheel last week.

Grew up in the neighborhood, the dedicated bike path on the south side of Webb was one of the greatest attractions of that area. More bike paths, particularly that actually use established streets, only make sense.

I only have a bicycle for transportation. Biking in this city is particularly frightening for me, as I know a number of cyclists who have been hit by cars and nearly died. This city needs *more* bike lanes, not fewer.

The taking of public space for private use is wrong. There is no need to do anything to Glenmore as the solution to the "parking problem" already exists - use your drive way for the occasional workman or domestic servant. Ask the city for a permit for the rare big events.

Please keep all bike lane through the entire metro area. We need to make this city more pedestrian safe! If we continue to do this more individuals would walk and cycle rather than get in their car and drive a few blocks to go place!

How does eliminating existing bike lanes comply with Baton Rouge's "Complete Streets" policy. Would Baton Rouge even consider this request if the residents wanted to park in automobile lanes instead?
