There are no words to adequately express what an incredible school and community Giant Steps provides its families. As a dedicated employee for the past 14 years and advocate for all our amazing students please keep their school open!

The closing of such special school without the consultation of parents, staff and educators is extremely irresponsible. Listen the people with boots on the ground.....they are your best resource and will have the best solutions for how to stay open in this crisis. Solutions that most likely someone one a board never thought of.

this school has been the only positive input in my grandsons life we for once started seeing positive change in his developmental skills and his whole demeanor was very positive while attending

I am a teacher at Giant Steps and my brother attended the school for 12 years. I did not just want to be a special education teacher, I wanted to be a special education teacher at Giant Steps. Getting to experience Giant Steps both as a family member and as a staff member was one of the great joys of my life and made me a better person and a better teacher. My classroom is my family and I am heartbroken at the thought that we won’t be together again. I am so worried about who will take care of my students if Giant Steps is gone. There truly isn’t another school like us.
