There are very few schools that are dedicated to children with special needs. I know from personal experience that the school that my child went to was closed and he was then Main streamed. Though the staff did their best it was not the same. There is a difference between teachers who teach children with learning disabilities and those who teach children with special needs. I hope for the sake of the children and their families that the board reconsiders closing this school.

This school means the world to my cousins son and she is so upset about it’s closing, especially during this health crisis where everything is so uncertain and there’s no one to speak to for help...please reconsider for all the families who rely on Giant Steps for their children....

Do not close down. Get together with the Governor's Chief of Staff . Have a meeting and explain with several of the parents and two of your head officials why it wont work with the current state regs. Have a reasonable discussion and where theres a will there a way !
