I've had the pleasure of meeting Ann Friesen on several occasions and found her to be professional and highly competent in her position and field of work. She has made Friend to Friend the success that it is and has had her accomplishments showcased in The Pilot and at community events on numerous occasions . We can not hold the mentality that Board Members can toss out those in leadership positions, who are effectively leading, in an effort to abuse power. I support Anne Friesen.

Since "Tar and Feathering" isn't an option, and I am not sure that it is not given the questionable treasonable actions of "the 3", their resignations would be the honorable thing they have done since they started this insanity.

Sadly, this type of Board behaviour has become cliché and newsflash- choosing to bully is not an admirable trait for people trusted to protect others. When the welfare of an organisation (in this case, a non profit) is allegedly jeopardised by any Board member, there are certain (professional) steps that need to occur before a resignation is requested. An opportunity to address and rectify any valid and well documented concerns is usually a first step, followed by objective mediation, and lastly, a proposed exit strategy. Anything short of this can lead to unnecessary chaos and perhaps even a lawsuit. This is not about a popularity contest. This IS about a successful advocate's (Anne's) reputation and I would recommend that those truly interested in Friend to Friend's survival (as well as other Moore County entities) reconsider offering their support to the implementation of proper protocol. A universal process of checking egos at the boardroom door might have been a better starting point for what appears to have been overzealous and green behaviour. Dignity & Grace is not overrated and Anne appears to be the epitome of it under the most ridiculous of circumstances.

I'm signing this because I believe Anne has done a wonderful job with Friend to Friend. If, after this horrendous treatment by the board, she even considers staying it will be a blessing for that organization. She is unimpeachably noble and trustworthy, so my opinion of the board members who are trying to fire her is something I can't express on a public website. Shame on them.
