With a town already struggling, it make no sense to charge the people who are still using the town to go there. It will just drive even more people to the supermarkets to the detriment of local businesses.

I come to Sudbury regularly to shop because of the free parking. I live in Braintree where you have to pay to park and the high street has died. Please don't do the same to Sudbury.

If we want to reenergise, the town centre. People need to be able to shop enjoy lunch and spend their money in the shops and amenities, not just in our of town, stores and go else where to spend their money and leisure. Please get real.

For the amount of gain to be had from charging, the imposition of a charging increase is pointless. Ask the commercial premises owners for their opinion and they'll surely tell you that this is a catastrophic decision. Yes, I would be prepared to discuss this with any Cllr.

The only reason I go into Sudbury 2 times a week is the free parking which is convenient for shopping and salon and doctors appts!

Ending 3 hours free parking will lead to the end of Sudbury's retail zone, we'll lose so much, our shops need help and encouragement for shoppers to go there not the opposite.
