The town has suffered enough with businesses closing down, charging for parking will ensure the total destruction of the town centre and turn Sudbury into a complete ghost town

As a retailer in North street, already seeing the struggle of high street demise. Even more so with lockdown/pandemic this will just be another nail in the coffin, push the high street customer/shopper further away

Should keep it free to try and help the business in Sudbury. If you have to pay to might as well go to Colchester or bury with more shops as their councils invest in their towns

We need to keep our free parking to draw visitors into sudbury to shop we have little else to encourage shoppers into our town with closed shops due to rent increases.

I have MS and find it hard getting around fast. If parking is cut to one hour I would struggle to get back to the car in time if I wanted to go to more then one shop per visit. At this time, when you have to social distance and queue, this would limit my ability to come to town even more.

I would stop going to town, would only go to supermarkets , simply because I won't be able to afford parking fees. I believe many other would be in the same position as me, which means the town centre would become a ghost town.. avoidable if there's no parking fees.
I know people from Hadleigh who goes shopping in Sudbury because of parking fees in Hadleigh.

I understand why the council want to charge, but this is the wrong time. COVID will kill Sudbury and people who live here will be forced to move.
Definitely
Save free parking save sudbury
