Fox Ridge is a wonderful school with an amazing staff led by an excellent Principal, Ms. Stuckey. The data collected thus far in making a hasty decision to re-purpose the school did not account for the students emotions who were not anticipating being separated from their friends and Teachers prematurely from graduating 5th grade together. The students have a genuine love and appreciation for all Fox Ridge has to offer. This is a critical time in their young lives where they receive genuine care and an outstanding education. The additional PTO programs and enrichment have also enhanced hundreds of students lives who take advantage of signing up for them throughout the year. This could have been approached with a phase in and phase out program. We live in the Woods of Fox Glen and purchased our home confident that our children would be attending Fox Ridge, Wredling and St. Charles East. We strongly oppose and ask that this proposal be denied until a more thorough plan that does not disrupt our young children’s relationship/education can be presented. The assumption that parent’s are overly emotional is not entirely true. We are advocates for our children. We are passionate and stand quickly behind them especially when something is potentially detrimental. My son cried for 30 minutes after he heard the news because his close friends he has had for 3 and 4 years are going to Norton Creek. He also attends Baker Station after school which is a great program and didn’t involve any additional transitions after school off site. The cost savings should not come at the expense of the students. There must be a way to reach a more amicable resolve. I urge you to please reconsider and vote no! Thank you.

Had two kids attend and one in 4th grade. His friends will be at different schools. That is sad.

If you need to close a school, you should close Lincoln. I can't believe that this is even up for a discussion.

I grew up next to this school , I became who i am because of this school. So sad to see this happen.

School needs to remain, if being sold just to raise a fast buck maybe the funding of the school board needs to be audited by an outside firm, please show for meeting on Monday the 29th

The closure creates considerable student and staff disruption for minimal savings, especially when other older, less efficient schools should be considered first for closure.
