Closing schools is a terrible way to welcome new families, like my own, to the community. There has to be a more efficient way to evenly distribute the class sizes within the current schools and keep them all open. By closing schools you are telling young families that moving to St. Charles is a bad idea - it displays a negative image of this community and we all will suffer from it. Not to mention that property values will definitely be effected by sending St. Charles households to a school in West Chicago.

I purchased a home in St. Charles, paid St. Charles prices and St. Charles taxes for my kids to go to school IN St. Charles. I could have purchased in West Chicago for a much lower annual expense to our family and had my kids go to Norton Creek still. By closing Fox Ridge the message being sent is that investing in the St. Charles community does not hold value - it’s a dangerous message to send for our community as a whole!

Please keep this neighborhood school open so that we do not have higher costs in busing our children farther away to overcrowded conditions and longer school days due to in transit times

Save this school. A decision of this magnitude deserves considerably more time and input from community members. My 4 children attended this school, and I have nothing but praise for the educations that they received. From its initial opening, the staff, students, and parents have had great pride in this school. It is an educational success story.

It’s a great school. My kids have really settled in here and the staff is excellent. I can tell daily that my children are learning valuable skills.

WREDLING MIDDLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA - 6:30 P.M.
According to information in the District 303 "Questions and Answers Section" the administration will present its findings on the feasibility of closing Lincoln, new boundaries at elementary level and repurposing Fox Ridge. Then the school board will take action on any recommendations from that meeting at its next regular meeting on Mar 12 Dist 303 newsletter has 20 pages of questions and answers that presents as many questions as it answers. Sounds like this may be the last meeting before decisions are made.
