With ft greene park’s limited off-leash hours we need a space to let our dogs exercise during the day.

Our community needs spaces like these. There’s no place nearby to let dogs run in a safe and controlled manner.

The pandemic has highlighted how important it is to have outdoor spaces where people can just exist without having to spend money. This little dog run will be a great resource for both dogs and their owners to get outside and stretch their legs. It's also a great way for dogs who can't be off leash at Fort Greene Park because they might run off to get some exercise.

We used this dog park everyday to socialize our puppy and get her much needed energy out. She’s a terrier and requires a lot of activity, now the dog run is closed we’ve had a harder time managing.

There are so few places in the Clinton hill / fort Greene areas for dogs to play - please don’t take away this one and limit it even further, at a time when there are more dogs than ever in brooklyn.
