leave the park just the way it is. do not need any low rent housing in a great looking area. you put it in it and the whole area gets run down.

Our children and neighbors use this spot to play games, watch the fireworks, listen to concerts from Wolf Lake, please do not take that from us residents!

We use this space with our children, as do others or with their pets. Generations have memories using this space with friends and loved ones. This would create so much traffic on this street with next to no parking as is. Do not ruin our square!

Public green spaces are an asset to any community and this one has been for decades. The city of Hammond needs to put their self interests aside and understand the value of this space to the residents of this community. This neighborhood is historical. How about putting some effort into this square of grass and making it even more of a welcoming space for the community to enjoy. Plant some more trees, take your millions and put up a few flower beds, a bench…show some effort, do something positively impactful that can be remembered . Building houses seems nothing but a way to line the city’s big ole budget more.

This is would create too much congestion in this area. This has always been a nice area for children to play who live in this area. Please do not do this. Already going to make homes where Clark HS was. It is a terrible idea for the neighborhood. It will also lower the value of homes in the area by creating housing. There are already apartments in the area.

Don't bring more congestion to an already crowed area, leave the park alone.

I would prefer not to have multiple family residents erected in this location.

There does not need to be any more housing on this block. They need to stop trying to expand on every open land they see. It really brings a lot of chaos where it shouldn’t be.

We would like to see a blue print of the plans and be provided opportunity (with Mayor McDermott present) to discuss with tax payers why they would focus on the square and not Clark School on 119th 2 blocks East of the Square that was recently purchased by the City of Hammond.

The negative impact to our community would be hard hitting. We were told the apartments across the street were coming down but instead let’s bring in more low income housing to our neighborhood.

I would hate to see it go I remember seeing families with their little ones flying kites in that little area. People playing with their dogs and a father playing catch in that area. Also there is not much parking around that area at all as it is. It would be overwhelmed with traffic
