My family and many others depend on this rink. It is a true shame that uber wealthy Hunterdon County can't put kids and families first. We are loosing business and rarely gaining. Clearly something is not right. This is a true community center for hundreds of families and thousands of kids.

2 daughters skate there. They will have to quit since no other Figure skating programs work with our schedule or are too far

It would be a shame to lose the only ice rink in the county! This rink supports our youth and adults in sports and recreation. Hockey, Figure skating, learn to skate, public skate, and the ever popular DJ skate that keeps hundreds (not an exaggeration) of kids "off the streets".
Rinks are a tough business to run. I see other rinks in this area in trouble all the time. Real estate pressures are high in our metro area and taxes are high as well. The rinks that suffer the least are supported by or even owned by the county. Perhaps something could be worked out with support from the town or county. Tax incentives to keep the rink in place? We are not a poor county. We are the sixth wealthiest county in the nation. We should be able to afford this rink somehow.
