Fatemeh Haghighat-Pajouh reportedly was scheduled to be executed on or before 1 April 2006. She was sentenced to death for the murder of her husband.

The stay of execution granted to Fatemeh Haghighat-Pajouh on 12 October 2004 was rescinded by the Supreme Court. Her execution was reportedly scheduled to take place on or before 1 April 2006.
Fatemeh Haghighat-Pajouh was sentenced to death for the murder of her husband.
She alleged that her husband was a drug addict who had tried to rape her daughter from a previous marriage, who was 15 years old at the time.
Apparently he had previously told her that he had lost the girl in a gambling match. Amnesty International does not know when she was arrested, but she may have been tried in 2002.
The Head of the Judiciary, Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, had stayed Fatemeh Haghighat-Pajouh\'s execution after reading a letter written to him by her daughter, entitled \"Don

Seeing the way people are responding to Fatemeh's story and the sheer weight of her daughter's plea really hit me today. It feels like the tide is finally turning but we have to keep that energy going because the clock is just ticking away so fast.

One hundred people just put their names down and I am honestly shaking a little because I truly did not expect this to move so fast. It is wild to see that many people caring about Fatemeh while she is sitting there waiting in that awful uncertainty and I just hope she knows people are watching now.

I see the numbers tick up and it makes my head spin but we really need to hit that hundred mark before the window closes on Fatemeh. Just grab a few people you know and get them to look at this because it feels like time is running through my fingers like sand right now.
