I believe green spaces should be maintained as naturally as possible to create oases of peace and quiet for busy people in a noisy city. Surely, it would be a more efficient use of resources to upgrade the nearby school astroturf pitch as well asbring useful revenue back into the school.

This is an important piece of land that is the only open space that has not been commercialised like Battersea Park. There are people residing in apartments that do not have open space and this area provides somewhere to enjoy this! The park is used by many all year round including the primary school and dog walkers. We do not need another sports ground - Battersea Park provides this!

Falcoln park is used by locals like us for exercise, taking the children or the dog out for a walk. There is a sense of community there. The new construction would disrupt the peacefulness of the park.

I've always known this as Banana Park, and I've known it all my life. What the Wandsworth Council hyenas propose to do to it is an outrage. It is the ideal childrens' play area; nothing could have been designed better. Why do the morons of Wandsworth Council presume to 'think' that they know of a more suitable use for it?

An astroturf pitch within the park makes no sense at all. It would restrict access to areas of the park that are currently laid to grass and have a number of different uses throughout the year. Wandsworth Council has an ugly reputation for commercialising parks over the wishes of park users and ignoring their needs both in terms of the mental and physical wellbeing of all who use the park. Keep fighting and help protect our parks from a Council who has lost sight of what parks are for.

Please leave Falcon Park as it is. The space has such a unique natural character which is rare these days. It enables me to have my dog too, as I rent a 3rd floor flat with no outside space. He's my best mate! I work shifts and at 2am on our walk home we run about in Falcon Park, enjoy it's natural expanse to unwind from the day. It's so peaceful in the darkness with no street lamps, just stars on a clear night. There are bats that fly about near the trees by the middle bench on the railway side, they swoop so fast past my head, they brush my hair. I swear they think they are joining in our fun & games.
PLEASE PLEASE no more development. Don't define how an area covering almost half the park should give pleasure. That's the quirky appeal of Falcon park. Local people from all social classes, dogs & children, even bats!, can decide how and when they want to spend their time there. Please?! Laura

Please do not let this park be spoiled by a few to the detriment of an entire community that use the park on a consistent basis. There are astro turfed pitches in close by Battersea Park. It is a lovely open space that is safe for children and dogs alike. Leave it alone
