Is this to help appease the imminent closure of the Battersea Sports Centre? Seems pretty narrow minded to disrupt precious open space for a minority of children - who already have access to play in the Park!

A beautiful space for children and dogs to run in, we should be keeping our green spaces not building on them. Can't they play football in Battersea Park??

Please do not closure another green space. It is used by so many local people. I do not understand why local boys cannot go to Battersea Park where there are already plenty of football pitches on both grass and "all weather". It will benefit a small number of boys, exclude the local residents and not appeal to local girls either.

A wonderful piece of unspoilt space in the heart of Battersea. Why does football come above everything else? What about the local residents?

Falcon Park has been principally a dog walking park for decades. Increasingly, sport has taken over making the park virtually unusable at weekends and on weekdays in summertime. There are already ample playing facilities on Wandsworth Common and in Battersea Park (including an all-weather playing field!). If Wandsworth Council wants to encourage responsible dog ownership then reducing facilities for exercising dogs is not the answer. But given that private out-of-borough schools already use Falcon Park for Saturday football, this is about only one thing - money!

Open green space is intrinsic to humans... getting rid of this, a park that is used by so many for the use of only a few is yet another short sighed example of Wandsworth's policy of profit over people...
