If that closes, the nearest shop to campus is a good 10 minute walk away. It would be hugely inconvenient for both students and staff to lose up to half an hour just to get a pint of milk or a bag of sugar!

Too much of a financal challenge to the ridiculous prices and choices in the Uni's canteens. Compare queues in there to that in the other canteens, people actually looking for what they want.

As a Canterbury student frequently visiting Medway, Essentials is well, essential to the Medway campus. Closing it would be a shame. Time for competitive pricing compared to dockside rather than admitting defeat.
