It would be a poor decision to have no campus shop here at Medway - the nearest one will be a 10 minute walk away, not helpful for thos staff working on campus or for students with a busy study schedule. How will we keep attracting people to Medway if services such as these are being removed? Medway Campus should be a community not just a group of buildings.

How can we expect to attract students when there isn't even a shop! It could be a gold mine according to the local manager, if she was allowed to stock the items she knows will sell!

I have only been here 4 weeks, but I use the shop frequently and every other shop is at least a 20/25 minute round trip away, local alternatives are not convenient.

Shop should be subsidised if necessary. Campus is dead enough without losing the shop.

I see no logic behind the closure of our shop. I use it often and I am sure students living on and off campus use it regularly too. I thought university is looking ahead and introduce more facilities for students but this doesn't sound like one of those. Come on management get your act together.

This is unbelievable! 100s of students and staff use the shop daily for essentials so it can't be a business case to close the shop. This will lead to further decline in student experience on the campus, which can't be good for the universities.

To have a campus with nearly 10,000 students on it and no campus shop is absolutely ludicrous and I couldn't be more disheartened, especially considering Medway is supposed to be a priority campaign this year.

A shop is essential to both staff and students on a large isolated campus like this. Students living on the campus need to be able to access provisions easily and removing this service will disadvantage students and this will probably be reflected in the student satisfaction surveys!

Yet again Medway services, when they actually exist, are cut. Students here pay the same fees as everybody else. This is scandalous and a move we cant take lying down, its time for Medway students to demand a university experience that's worth £9,000 a year.
