This centre is literally at the heart of the The Wells Estate. I have sent one of my children to the preschool there, I plan on sending my next son there. We have arranged birthday parties in one of the rooms and attended church services both on Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings. This centre offers so many services to so many different people. Also the children's playground is so important to all of the families that live here. After I had my first so this playground was the only place that kept me sane and the same really after I had my second son Please do not close our beloved Wells Centre.

I can't believe this is up for discussion. I have taught baby classes here and the elderly people in the day centre when I have been there have been so happy to be part of this little community. To take this away from them would be inhumane. There are other ways to make cuts - don't take away from the most vulnerable.

This centre provides a valuable resource for a variation of ages. The preschool there provides an essential start to young children's lives. Where will these preschoolers go if they can't go here? Preschools are in high demand and people may not be able to travel far. It offers seniors a place to come out and socialise and have time with other people.

Would be a travisty to loose the centre.. not only for the pre-school but for the elderly who would not leave their homes if it wasnt for the centre.. travelling is not an option for these elderly people.. Also there are many clubs/groups run at the centre DEFINATELY NEEDS TO STAY

This centre is used so much for a slightly cut off community! If anything, the Council should consider encouraging more use to bring the community together, not action that will cause further breakdown in community.

The closure of this centre will leave many elderly people with no where to go. Not to mention the families who use the nursery facilities. The Wells has a fantastic community and the centre is an essential part of it.

This is a lovely centre for all ages. I spent a few times there as part of my work experience and enjoyed it each time.

We need to keep all centres like this open for all communities every where

Wells has always had a good community spirit; closing centre would damage the locality ,ChristChurchWells services & Epsom elders who use it.

This would be a very tragic loss to the local area

This is an incredible venue. Clean warm welcoming and very well run. It is great asset to the community from the very young to the elderly. The thought of this venue closing disgusts me. Whoever suggested closing it is an utter moron.

My son is due to start pre school there next year. He hasn't been put on any other lists so potentially he may not get in to another placement.

I taught dance at the centre for 4 years and my best friend runs her local dance and drama classes at the centre for the children around the area. Most importantly the centre does a lot for our elderly community, even if it's just a place for them to meet, have a cup of tea and talk to somebody. They deserve that!

Not only is my daughter due to start at the preschool in January but I am a nurse in the local hospital and know too well the impact that further housing is having on our services, we cannot cope with the current population of Epsom let alone adding more families to it!

I have lived on the Wells for 23 years and for all that time, the Wells Centre has been very much at the heart of this special community, To close it - probably for the short-term gain of selling the land for houses (which will probably un-affordable)is cynical and heartless. So tired of this self-serving, introspective council - this proposal does nothing to change my opinion.
