Have heard on Facebook the tears for the elderly in recent Xmas adverts. Well now it's real. If you got emotional and do not respond to this petition, you're suffering from cognitive dissonance.

The older we get we seem to lose a lot. To have a familiar place for people is much needed in the community, especially for the elderly. It could be the only place they go to socialise. It could be that going to this place is the only time they see people other than nurses. Don't take this away from them, it could be their only sense of freedom.

I used to live there and it was a wonderful place tou see for things like brownies and other community events. Keep it and stop messing with all the history like you did with the actual Epsom Well and made it look like new build toilet rather than preserve its historic look.

the Wells is a social centre cater for the isolated older people .It provides lunch, exercises classes and above all ,a place where people chat over a cup of tea in a secure environment.
This itself is the best therapy. Surely
the elderly group deserve to have a
club just as much as the young have youth club.

both my children went to this pre school and my mum who is elderly and cannot get out much on her own uses the hall regularly as well as attending the church service every Sunday. This centre is vital to keep a community at the wells estate and its loss would have detrimental effects for a lot of local residents .

Used to go to youth club there when I was young and my boys went to play group there. It's the heart of the community and a lot of older people will miss meeting their friends and making new ones there.

Please listen to the residents that live on the wells and Ebbisham, to close the centre would put people out of work, children from the pre school where they love to attend, the ladies that serve this pre school a few of them have been doing this job for twenty years or more, do you really want to put them out of work the children without a pre school, and of course the elderly , where will they go, the centre is their meeting point that gives them the chance to get out and meet each other without travelling to far and they feel safe. Please do not close the centre, it will ruin a lot of peoples lives. No money is worth that. Please think of other options, i am sure the RA will come up with some other ideas to get money. Thank you

This is where I run my theatre school The Jam Academy from. Children come to us who are shy and we help them build confidence in a safe and friendly environment.
This is also where my dear neighbours come to have lunches, go bowling and have company.
It's where the Wells community this year are going to open it up on Christmas Day so people alone can come and be together.
