I went to this place when it was just a small hut, for playgroup. I'm 50 now, & the centre NEEDS TO STAY. For all the local people, elderly & Young.

There has not been a fair consultation. We were presented with a fait accompli last night. This is clearly about the Council wanting the land for housing. Shameful.

A short sighted quick fix policy that will only hurt the most vulnerable. What about higher taxes on one of the many golf courses in the borough?

I think losing the Wells Centre would be a great loss to our community.

What an absolute shame that this is up for closure. Over the years I have witnessed 1st hand the fantastic support that Sally and her team provide to the many members of the social club. I know that there will be a sizable proportion that won't be able or want to attend at the Longmede centre. Such a shame

How can such an important local amenity be up for closure? I moved to The Greenway on 1976 and there has always been a community centre on that site. The focal point for pre-schools & nurseries, weddings, birthdays & christenings, it is a vital facility for the Epsom Common community.

What a shame if this valuable community facility were to be lost. The Council needs to think again.

This is an excellent facility and I really believe that there must be better options available to cut costs.

My 80 year old mum goes here twice a week for 2 excercise classes. This centre is invaluable to the long term physical and mental well being of the community.
It is short sighted to think there would not end up being a greater cost to the council/NHS ETC if this centre closes

Once again it's the old, the young, the vulnerable. Shame on you eebc.! How isolated will the community be? (Still advertising on your website though.)
