This quarry would be devastating for Ellenbrook, Hatfield and St Albans residents young and old.
This Local open space is so important for our physical health, not everyone can aford or want to go to a gym. It's important for mental health, being able to enjoy the Red kites, Dear, Owls, foxes and other wildlife is a great joy for many people. The fields are very social for dog walkers, bringing local people together.Park run is held hear every Saturday which also brings people together.Housing estates near by are very cramped with lots of flats that house young families and houses with tiny gardens, so this open space is vital.Students from the university use and enjoy this space.
Please leave this lovely open space for us and our children to enjoy for now and years to come.

Oaklands development needs time for schools, doctors and businesses to build in the area. Not to just overpopulate the area without the community growing in balance.

I consider this over development in an area that is unable to support it.

I wish to see the establishment of the Country Park agreed as part of the development in 2000. The Section 106 Agreement must be honoured & the Councils must be compelled to enact the Agreement.

This space (Ellenbrook) together with the landfill site/quarry it neighbours fills the gap between Hatfield and St Albans. This would lead to a massive built up/industrial area in what was a rural area

Ellenbrook is a wonderful local amenity and should be protected from building / quarrying. With the S106 monies handed over to a Trust, it could even be improved.

Riding roughshod over legal agreements! What is our society coming to? Stop destroying our green spaces and ruining our towns with over population and poor investment by developers for proper and improved infrastructures for their developments.

We must not loose this valuable amenity to development. The agreement should be enforced.

There's so much wildlife here that will also be gone for good: owls and other birds of prey, badgers, muntjac deer, hares, cuckoos, song and other wild birds

Whilst the demand for development is high we need to ensure that balance with nature and our communities are also upheld.

Land between St.Albans and Hatfield is already being overdeveloped by Taylor Wimpey on the Oaklands site. And there's more to come! The total merger between the two towns is dangerously close to being complete. Protect the green belt.
