This area cannot cope with the traffic it has at present, since the old airfield was initially developed for housing, office and warehousing. Let's do something now for the residents who have had to live with the unacceptable traffic situation the existing developments have created, and create for them a nice parkland.

Please keep as an open access country park and establish a Trust to look after it as promised. Biodiversity has increased considerably on and around the site in the last 18 years. This should be enhanced, not obliterated. A green corridor is still needed between St Albans and Hatfield.

We are losing too much of our green space & green belt around St. Albans. This is affecting the quality of life of the people who already live here.

This is and should be open space for local residents to enjoy. Housing and gravel excavation will severely encroach on Green Belt land and exacerbate the urban sprawl between Hatfield with St Albans.

This area was promised to the local residents some 15 years ago as an open space for nature and leisure. That promise has not been fulfilled and needs to be recognised before any further encroachment on Green Belt land takes place.

The council must stop turning St Albans into a sprawling connurbation If they have to build, houses should be set well back and lined with deep vegetation

I knew nothing about this until today. It is so important to save the green spaces in our area. This is an invaluable site of preservation for so many species and for the enjoyment and health giving properties for residents. There are walkers and runners who regularly use it. I myself exercise my dogs there and enjoy the inner peace and beauty just being there listening to the birds and observing the wildlife..

We use this space for walking and to enjoy the countryside. The infrastructure cannot support a new housing development of this size, nor the lorries necessary for the quarrying operation. To risk the public after supply by quarrying operations through the bromate plume is just plain reckless
