CoC 2013 shouldn't mean we lose out on everything that we've gained once 2014 hits.

Save the Arts. Another terrible decision safeguarding our country as a drab, boring sub standard part of the world.

This year Derry has established an enviable reputation as a place of culture; please don't throw that away so easily.

This gallery has proved itself as a world class attraction. What other city in the world would close down such a proven space? Shame on Derry City Council, OFMDFM and DCAL if this is allowed to happen.

Derry Londonderry needs it. It's lovely walking over to it, having a walk around it and not least of all....the cafe is great.

it would be a shameful waste of money to turn this building into offices, when it's not suitable for this use and there are empty office buildings in the city centre already. This site is seen as a publc space now by the people of Derry and there is no place for prestige office building in this area. Belfast has many new galleries and it is now time for Derry to have a purpose built gallery here.

Recently visited The turner Prize exhibition staged in this beautiful building. I was amazed at the great use of space and welcome I received to use the building for another purpose other than an art gallery would be a major injustice to the Ebringtpn area , the tourism footfall and indeed the good people of Derry/Londonderry

Keep the Gallery open and build on the great artistic achievements of the Year of Culture.

It would be nonsensical to have spent all that money on a bespoke 'state of the art' art gallery and then just let such a resource go to waste.

This is too good an opportunity, create some links with York Street and attract young artists to the city

It's easier to save than to spend.

I've seen more peace constructed, more visibly and memorably in this arena, than I have found apparent on this scale anywhere. For people with scars from troubled times to be in a huge crowd, safe and joyous, in Derry, has been and will continue to be deeply healing. Prioritise it, please!
