There is no evidence to say culling works. Vaccination is the compassionate way to go and East Devon needs to set an example. We don't want blood on our hands. Do the right thing ......

The facts are that culling badgers does not affect the incidents of TB in cattle but simply increases the movement of badgers around the country. TB is a problem of cattle farming itself and the cruel persecution of any wildlife species is futile.

The Badger Cull represents not just an inhumane slaughter of a much loved species, but also an unscientific way of not solving the crisis of bovine TB.
What is needed is more sustainable and local animal husbandry.

The majority of the badgers killed in the recent cull were shot after having been trapped, which means they could have been vaccinated instead. Farmers are a powerful lobby but should not be the only ones to have a say.

Living in a rural area outside Honiton, I do not agree with a badger cull. Improve bio-security, develop vaccines.

My grandparents live in sidmouth so I feel I have strong enough links to this petition. No to the cull! Animals were here first and everything on this planet has a purpose except humans! The Culling of animals affects the food chain which WILL have devastating affects on other species. It will be a MASS MURDER OPERATION!! Also being qualified in animal management means that I know that if this horrendous decision goes through there will be consequences within nature!!

Action needs to be taken to deal with bovine TB but from all reports (not Government) this present cull is failing to achieve its targets and cannot justify the enormous costs involved.

No cull! Kick out Patterson and get decent MP's in that care about England's wildlife and natural environment, farm animals and pets.

I haven't a clue why this petition has stated that I come from Birmingham. It must be picking up the IP server address.
I live and work in Exeter, Devon. And within East Devon Council I believe since the Labour Party split Exeter and Topsham so they could win Exeter off the Tories.
