I think the proposal for such a large primary school will be detrimental to the pupils. It will also lead to increased traffic flow around Ham Lane, which is already congested at school start and finish times. This in turn will impose more expense on the parents of those children currently attending Eagleswell School, as it will be too far for many children to walk.

To loose this school would be heart breaking. I fully intend to send our son to this school and wouldn't use the new school!!

Our children deserve a good education and Eagleswell School is providing that. We need a good school a lot more than we need more houses and yet another convenience store!! SAVE OUR SCHOOL!!!!!

we shoild at least call for the project to be mothballed until the local council situation is sorted out.

It would be a shame if financial constraints were put ahead of the education of young children. This plan would also increase the risks for children who have to walk further to school. It will inevitably have an environmental impact as parents will be forced to drive their children to school, and thus in some circumstances forcing parents to incur additional costs for the convenience of the council. It also sounds like the community will be losing a valuable green space, whilst a large number of children get crammed into an already stretched area, which will become even more so with the new building that will obviously be required. Not to mention the disruption that the building work will have on the children already at the school. I spent most of my secondary school life in "temporary classrooms in Llantwit comp. It certainly compromised the standard of education and that was without the noise of construction going on around me.

Rebuild the comprehensive school prior to restructuring the primary schools

Compressing towns into compacted areas is the first sign of failed town planning management.
