This is happening all over Wales with badly proposed closures with absolutely no thought for the Children's well being or health

My sisters my children and grandchildren went to Eagleswell I worked at the school throughout their childhood and know the children are now in small classes with teachers known to us all over the years it is a community built on trust and love for the children and teaching staff midday supervisors breakfast club dinner ladies cleaners all part of our small community that makes it personal

Why? What reasons have been given by the council, after they jumped the gun with other school closures last year and promptly got put back in their box.

I would expect that the convenience store should be able to buy more appropriate land, rather than kick a number of small children outmoded the education system and classrooms they are use to, let alone forcing them into a bigger school with much older children. It is not right!

With the new houses bring built on the other side of town we need all the schools we can get. Why should locals have to travel a greater distance for their children to go to school especially those that don't drive. I attended this school many moons ago and my children did too. Leave the school alone!!

Both my sons attend the infants and primary school and my youngest son is due to attend inge nursery in June 3 of my other sons have also attended this schools and I find it is situated in a good place for the local estate. I personally as have many other parents have built up and good rapport with teachers and students alike the school the school is a big part of the community which not only educates our children but also holds course for parents in the local vacinaty and should not be rip down to make way for houses .

I lived in Llantwit Major for 30 years and have grown up on the Monmouth Way estate, visiting eagleswell school for meetings, plays and many a school sports day with friends and family. I have worked with the chdren there and teachers through being in the Fire Service. What a terrible shame and a sad loss to the community. it is a lovely school, with wonderful teachers. the thing i noticed the most was that all the teachers knew all the pupils regardless of whose class it was. It is lovely to see a close knit school where everyone pays attention and acknowleges each other. Yet again, is this being done to cut costs and make money at the cost of chikdrenx education. sad days

I attended Eagleswell all the way from Nursery to Juniors...have very fond memories of the place and can't bear the thought of it never being there anymore. SAVE EAGLESWELL!!!!!
