It seems a shame not to keep this landmark that gives visitors a chance to take in the beautiful scenic view of Door County!

From the Day Visitor to the year round residents, all climb this tower regularily. Children love to race against their siblings or peers, to the top. Viewing and identifying the islands is a favorite. It is important to spending time in the park, one not found in other parks on the peninsula. It would be very sad to lose it. Eagle Tower is an integral part of the Door County landscape. It's a unique local treasure. What would it say about us if it were to be torn down just because that would be more expedient than investing today to preserve the past and protect the future? ('ya following that?!)

This is one of the favorite places i have been to!!! As a resident I have been there through many season changes and can never replicate the colors and views, it's an offering of viewing perfection in gorgeous Door County. Saving ICONS is important.

I grew up in Europe. If they can figure out ways to preserve and restore structures that were built by the Romans, then we ought to be able to figure out a way to restore/rebuild this tower. Part of the intrinsic value of Eagle Tower IS it's age. There is not just the awe of the natural beauty when you reach the top but a sense of history as you think of all of the past generations who have climbed the same stairs you are climbing. Some things are beyond monetary value.

I can help,out with a $50 donation. I remember climbing the towere almost 50 years ago. I looked at it this summer....I can't imagine why it can't be saved. Please don't rush to condeming this old structure a sa lot of parents would love to share their memories with their children. I lost my only child to cancer just prior to a visit to the tower.....
