Great memories climbing that tower as a child...bringing my children... and one day brining my children's children.
Please keep this piece of history for future families to experience and enjoy.

Born and raised in Door County, I feel the Eagle tower is historically significant to Peninsula State Park, and Door County. It is iconic, and a beloved treasure to all who have climbed it, carved their names in it, or taken photos of it. It should be saved, however possible!

I visit Door County every year, and I have always started each day of my visits by climbing Eagle Tower. I cannot find the words to describe the peace and beauty I feel at the top of the tower. I agree that every effort should be made to save the tower.

Every effort should be made to save this structure. An Eagle Tower climb is one of those signature experiences,
which makes Door County the global
destination it has become!

As a camper in the park for many years, a former employee at the Nicolet Camp Store and now a property owner in Fish Creek, I have more personal memories with that tower than most. It's ALWAYS been a highlight for friends and family visiting. Do I need to mention the thrill a child has seeing and climbing that tower. Counting the steps, meeting the challenge. All tired out when you reach to top. The view is second to none in Wisconsin. It's a true landmark and treasure. It must be repaired or rebuilt similar to it's existing style. Make it even better!

Peninsula is one of the jewels in my native county's crown. I thank my forefathers for setting aside this beautiful land and making Door County what it is today. Let's not drop the ball.

This is an iconic treasure of Door County and should be restored or replaced in wood and as close to the original design as feasible.

The structure should be reinforced, not torn down. The appearance of the tower could be preserved by reinforcing with steel beams.
