I once was told that the Health Executive in Northern Ireland have more ambulances (for their small part of the Island) than the HSE has TOTAL. That is a frightening statistic if it is true. HSE can't provide the necessary funding for the services they already provide so how could they in good conscience take on the role the DFB do without providing extra funding. DFB are every day unsung heroes. They need to keep providing the service they do. The NAS employees are heroes too providing the great care they do on such limited funds/resources.

The H.S.E. cannot pay there debts at the moment how will they run the service they owe 10 million to Dublin City.
