When a service works well you don't give it to a section that is in tatters. DFB have actually covered Kildare ambulance service and the HSE wanted them to do that without back up service.

If it isnt broke then dont fix it, These guys have been doing a fantastic job since i moved to the area 40 yrs ago.
Dublin Fire Brigade run a uniquely excellent combined and interoperable service in the capital which should be retained, and is the way forward rather than the way backwards in emergency management that should serve as an example to the rest of the country.

The HSE should work to fix all the problems in Rural areas and leave the DFB to continue with the excellent service the deliver
