I needed them twice during 2008 when an unstoppable nosebleed turned out to be sky-high blood pressure and almost resulted in a stroke.

Seriously, getting rid of our ambulance service is most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.... The service these men and women provide cannot be put in monetary terms, they save peoples lives every day and that is something that cannot be bought.... Dear god, the country is getting worse!!!!!

This is utter madness. The HSE is hard stretched enough without taking over the DFB ambulance service. We all know what a great job they do. NO, NO, NO.

Very proud of the excellent & difficult work done by DFB both Fire & Ambulance Services. Might be an idea for Mr. Keegan to spend a few shifts with the team, see and experience what they do on a daily basis and then he might realise just how lucky we are they do what they do! Perhaps Mr. Keegan has been fortunate enough not to need their support and therefore could be forgiven for not understanding the vital role of the current ambulance service. Ignorance however is no defence - is he willing to learn and give a week of his time to find out?!

I would like to support the DFB in the quest to maintain the Ambulance service in Dublin. Politics trying to interfere in a service that works efficiently and effectively. If its not broke, DONT FIX IT..

These lads saved my life recently when I was choking at home, I would not be here today , only for them the outcome would have been so so different
