The HSE have proven themselves to be utterly incapable of running a health service. The DFB run an excellent service. Logic dictates that the DFB retain the service and potentially take additional services away from the HSE.

the sub should hold onto control of there ambulance service. if I hurt myself I know a fire engine will come of the ambulance is not available 7 paramedics are better better than only 2

Mr Keegan went ahead regardless of the democratic vote. I hope that he never needs a paramedic in an emergency because he will be left waiting. A fire engine can get through heavy Dublin traffic much quicker than an ambulance cars will move aside much quicker for a truck! Pay attention the next time that you are in traffic. I can't understand why Mr Keegan wants to fix something that is not broken. Look at the survival rates. It really isn't all about the money surely a human life is worth so much more. The public needs to understand that if we loose the DFB Ambulance service we will all suffer in the future.
