We cannot lose this wonderful service that the highly trained crews of Dublin Fire Brigade provide to the people of Dublin. Owen Keegan must NOT be let destroy this service!.. LIVES WILL BE LOST if he gets his way. This is a very dangerous game he's playing... and he's playing with you and your families lives.

The ability of Dublin Fire Brigade crews to perform Paramedic duties as well as pumping water at fires is very useful.
This summer, I had to dial 999 for an Ambulance because a man collapsed on a Dublin Bus, almost directly outside Donnybrook Fire Station. Fire Brigade Ambulance Control told me that the local Ambulance was already busy out on a call. However, they sent a fireman out on foot with a huge First Aid bag, and he was able to help.
If we had been waiting for an Ambulance, help might have arrived after only 23 minutes instead of just 3 minutes.
