Love this restaurant. Eat here a few times a month aside from other carts here also.

We must save the churros!
This business is definitely a fixture of the Mercado from the moment they opened, and it would be a disservice to the community to deny us our God given rights to delicious cinnamon goodness in all it's glory. Please renew their lease!

Save the churros! Don Bigote has been a great addition to the Mercado and it would be a terrible loss for the local community to shut them down.

I’m a local resident — 77th and Foster. Don Bigote’s fills a niche in the neighborhood. We come to Mercado more often because of them. We’d be seriously disappointed if they’re forced to leave, and we’d probably spend less time at Mercado if that were to happen.

I believe there’s a place for this business in El Mercado. Please reconsider having this man and vendor leave. He works hard and has committed a lot of time, energy, sweat and more.

I enjoy the addition of this specialty shop at the Mercado. The food is a good alternative to the cart fare and I love the desserts. This is so unfair to not renew the lease after the major investment on the part of the company during the pandemic. Give them a chance.

What is the reason they don’t want to renew the lease? Is is anything on contract? The only way to fight to stay there is to know every information and agreements.

I would like to ask you to renew Don Bigote’s lease. You’ve tried since opening to make that space work, to no avail, losing shop after shop. Then you finally allowed Don Bigote to open and it was quickly apparent that they had put so much work and love into their churro shop that it’s literally revitalized what had been the one empty and dead eyesore at the mercado.

Across from Barrio, my "office" is Don Bigote, where I see my other friend, Erick, one of the first people I met at Mercado. Erick and Telma donated food for my 79th birthday at Mercado. It is easy to get to Don Bigote for churros, milkshakes, curly fries for my friends table at Barrio, and other treats. Please don't subtract them from the community weekly experience. We love these folks.

Doesn’t get much smaller of a business than this.
Idiots.
