This decision was made with NO consideration to the children the district is supposed to serve. Changing the safe and stable environment of developing children in the middle of their academic year would have the worst possible impact on their emotional and psychological wellbeing. Ms. Vance has given so much to the school and students and her outstanding performance is well proven by the status of Desert Hills among all other schools in the district. It is sad to see those in power misuse it for the benefit of few friends on the expense of our children. This decision proves that LCPS district officials couldn't care less about our kids.

These decisions should not be made in haste and without the consideration of the impact it will have on the students. Why is it that we again are reassigning a principal? Second time in the last 5 years as well as vice-principal and many teachers. It appears LCPS needs better leadership.
To say we have an A rated school has to account for something. Leadership has to come from the top.

A good business decision would be to offer an individual a position not to order them into. The students and the staff should be the concern of the superintendent not just a few "unhappy" adults. We want Ms. Vance returned as DHES principal!

Unfortunately, I cannot get behind this petition due to my child being intimidated and bullied throughout the year by another student and their mother. I had her moved from the class and the child and his mother continue. Maybe it is time for a new direction for the school. It seems all I ever received was lip service.

My son cried so much on Friday. We cannot just stand by and let them do this.
