These kids get 40 mins once a week with their music teacher and they sound that wonderful. DASD needs to put their music program up on a higher priorities list. They need more teachers like Mrs. VIgo that build their children up rather then tear them down. Give them confidence rather then make them feel like the odd one out. Music does so much for the kids and it is a shame what they are doing to the Music Department!

Please don't allow music to go to the wayside at Derry! Music is love, Music is life, Music is light!

I participated in choir for 2 years and it’s a life changing experience. I highly recommend keeping it in the curriculum.

That would be awful. The arts are just important as history or science or any subject Please don't cut this

The music program at Derry has always been top notch. This is very sad that this is happening.

Music and just the arts in general are just as important and any other subject in school. Everyone has their own different talents and specialties, and music is definitely not one to be excluded from that list. Downsizing a music program at any school would be taking away opportunities for students; it would be the same as downsizing the STEM program. “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” - Plato. If you take away music, you take away life.
