Everybody loves the tearooms. Locals and visitors. The opportunity it gives to the employees is amazing. The tearooms are all about social inclusion, and a friendly place that welcomes all.

Derby Lodge is a beautiful tearoom in the heart of Shipley Park that gets lots of visitors. It is run by people who this place means the world to and I for one make the point of walking from the main visitors centre to Derby Lodge as opposed to using the visitor's centre cafe as it is a whole different atmosphere here. Please save the tearooms!

This is a great opportunity for people with disabilities to work. I was part of the prince's trust team who renovated the garden 4 years ago. At the time i didn't fully appreciate it for what it was and for what the staff did, but i have since had a daughter who has a disability and now i fully appreciate everyone who works there. We need more places like this, not less!
