Join in and voice your concern over the proposed Grand Oaks Subdivision development at the end of Daves Road. This development includes 19 homes on the side of Seabolt Mountain, and lies within the Protected Mountain District. Daves Road is not capable of handling this volume of traffic, but the public works will not address the tons and tons of earth moving equipment, logging trucks and heavy support vehicles that will traverse the road as the building progresses.

At this moment, no concerted study has been performed on the wildlife impact of this development. Bald eagles have been spotted across the street from this building site. It would have been good for Grand Oaks Developers and South Ocean LLC investors to contact the residents of Daves Valley to let us weigh in on this development. But the earth mover just showed up a few weeks ago, and they will start digging Monday Dec 6.

Please sign this petition, at the very minimum, to tell Fannin County that we do not want our mountains overwrought with this much development. Especially when the infrastructure is not capable of handing the volume.

Voice your concern also by calling our public servants.

Daves Rd is way to narrow for logging trucks. they are gonna ruin the pavement and its dangerous for the rest of us living here already. hope they stop this mess.

I would hate to see Daves Valley over developed with a lot of cabins that would take away from the natural beautiful of the place & the wild life that can be seen everyday .
