What part of the city loses when a station is cut? Who decides which one? How can three stations safely and adequately cover this whole city? Don't the new businesses want to be protected? Might this decision affect their decision to stay here? Leave the Fire Department alone!! Find cuts elsewhere. Start inside the City building with good evaluations of every office and see who is really neccessary.

Public safety is a vital component of any successful city, downsizing the fire department will only hurt the community and citizens of Danville. A workable solution must be found that doesn't include cuts to the fire department.

Here we go again ~ How about cutting some of those middle management positions you all seem so fond of creating! Not to mention all the engineers that seem to be incapable of doing anything as any time we need real engineering work done we have to take bids and contract it out ~ what a waste!

I live on a buget, so I will get rid of food and keep my beer, now that makes as much sense as geting rid of firefighters and a station. When a new busness comes into a city they look at the protection, if it's not there then they will not come.

Always going after public safety. Pension are to high? These people risk there lives everyday and they should not get a pension? People please realize that this has been the scare tactic since I started back in 2000. Does it ever get old?
