CTE is important to students. Restoring funding is imperative

CTE prepares students, not just for college, but for the fast paced, every changing world that we live in. It prepares students for the fastest growing jobs and is critical for economic growth. CTE gives students opportunities they normally would not have and with the high demand for a skilled workforce limiting our funds would be a huge loss to both our students and our community.

Not all students are bound for greatness in the academic world. Some of us need to have goals we can achieve and be productive citizens.

This is a bipartisan issue. If funding is not restored we will lose business in Arizona.

CTE and agriculture saved my life. Bound for a life on the streets, if it wasn't for AG and FFA I wouldn't be an agriculture educator today.

CTE is such a great resource for students that might not have the opportunity or desire to attend a traditional institution of higher learning. With the demand for trained workers increasing eliminating funding would be a great disservice to our students and communities. I understand that funds are tight, but lets consider the future and how this action might affect our state. Please reconsider this process and restore the funds that were taken away. Let us strive to place the future ahead of our own desires of the present.

CTE is vital in the rural areas in terms of providing students with the training necessary to meet the demands of a 21st Century workforce. With the reduction in money as well as the addition of grant requirement for the awarding back of some funds, our rural JTEDs and schools will not be able to offer the level of services to students in rural Arizona. Please restore our funding for the sake of our students and their ability to help Arizona grow and prosper.

CTE is critical for our state's economic development and high school graduation rates. CTE works. Funding needs to be restored. All students matter - education is the pipeline to economic development!

I went to a CTE program when I was in high school. CAVIT was the only reason I wanted to go to school every day. It taught me so much about my future career, and I encourage everyone to look into CTE programs and take them.

CTE programs are what helped me through many personal issues. It's a great program and taking away any funding will deplete the course and students could have a harder time in the class, let alone those students who would struggle to pay for the course.

Technical classes are so important to our children who are academically challenged to keep them focused and interest in school. Please find some other area to cut funding. Not this one.

CTE programs need vital program funding. Cuts to the JTEDS and district schools would be devastating to the students and the future workforce.

This program is the best thing for young students. It gives us an opportunity to grow and mold our young minds into something great. Don't cut something that is keeping kids out of trouble.

Please keep this money to help the kids who are not college bound be able to support themselves.. If we don't they will rely on the government to support them.. use your money wisely!

CTE is critical to my rural community. In a lower socioeconomic population, alternatives to college are critical to the continued success of students as they become adults. CTE is necessary to help provide capable members for the blue collar work force as well as allow those students that are not college-bound, opportunities to achieve financial means and success so they may provide for themselves in the future.

Not all students go to college, we need people in our society that have CTE skills that help run this country. That usually make more or as equal to those that have college degrees. There is evidence that students are more successful at learning & graduating from high school because of CTE programs that are in high schools. Do not take away funding from students.
