I'm special needs children need to have a place without being shuffled around every two years.... I'm an advocate for the special-needs side and I know this is wrong & special needs layers need to be involved

Community Roots needs to build their own school if they need more space.

Build charters their own buildings or take an empty one and repurpose it. Displacing students in an appropriately zoned previously assigned traditional school for parents who want an alternative is highly inappropriate. Those people can be inconvenienced or relocated, not the people already sending their children to the local school they're supposed to be enrolled in!

We LOVE Crown Valley. This is my daughter's last years but her special needs teachers are absolutely the BEST! Please don't take this away from future generations of special needs children who depend on caring teachers and aides who guide them to meet their full potential!

Crown Valley elementary is truly a family. My daughter who is now in college attended Crown Valley as well as my son who is now a freshman and my youngest who is now in 7th grade. My daughter still talks about all the wonderful experiences she had with her teachers and staff at Crown Valley. Usually we remember our high school years as our favorite but my daughter has so many from Crown Valley it warms my heart . My two boys still go back to Crown Valley each year and visit their teachers, feels like their second mother to them . My kids got the opportunity to do science in the new science lab, play musical instruments, and plant and grow things in the beautiful garden . Crown Valley is definitely an amazing experience for any child, do not take that away from our future generation

We need Crown Valley and special programs like DHH. This is the only school in our district, where kids hearing impaired and hearing children as well dont see difference. They are equal and friendly. Teachers and staff treat children equally and that's very important. It is my sincere hope, that those people who would like to close CVES would never have to look far for school with special needs program like Crown Valley. Because Crown Valley is the BEST.

As a father of a child who found Crown Valley Elementary through the Special Needs Program I am both perplexed and frustrated with the news of the possible shut down of Crown Valley Elementary. My child was fortunate enough to have caring, educated, experienced and supportive staff who where able to accelerate the integration of my child into a "standard" classroom ; it seems as though my child only started to count as part of the school, from the perspective of the school district administration, when he was moved into a "normal" class setting. There should be ZERO discernible difference,when looking through a child's eye, between being special needs or not; Crown Valley accomplishes this. To reduce the uprooting of children down to simple mathematics or ledger balancing is insulting; one adds insult to injury when told the school will still remain a school, just wont be for the children already attending. There are amazing programs that are unique to Crown Valley in addition to an amazing educational experience: Monthly Science Lab for all students, $19K grant from Class Act that the size of the MPR is integral to maintaining program, Battle of the Books, Science Camp, Organic Gardening/Monarch Butterfly Waystation, and Pickleball PE to name a few. Crown Valley has an amazing student, teacher, parent, and principal/staff synergy. My daughter said tonight that Crown Valley has been the best school experience she could have wished for.

The anaylsis needs to be based on correct enrollment and consideration to our special needs population. Stop Segregation of Special Needs Children!
