So much demand for this very important unit, my son is dyslexic, we applied 2 years in a row to gain a place, with limited number he never got in, these unit support kids 1 to 1 which give the kids the extra support they need. Class teachers to a great job but can't give these kids the extra support need, while having to try and teach another 20-30 kids in the class, who are all At different levels, while also having to deal with behaviour etc

These units should be kept open as these children need this help as early as possible! These cutbacks are ridiculous and these innocent children are paying the price!

Why bother with free school meals when some people are lucky enough not to need it for their children yet the Crimond unit that gives children with dyslexia the support they need and support that will impact on the rest of their lives, is being closed closed it is a disgrace. If it is being closed due to budget cuts then the scottish government should hang their heads in shame.

There's much care and high quality teaching teaching based on the childrens needs. It's has a huge impact on their young lives. And will make an important difference to their secondary education. A start that they should be entitled too. Why should they suffer?

The impact these units have greatly improve the confidence and lives of the children it helps. The proposals to deliver support within each school will not provide the same standard or quality. Children with dyslexia will not have their full needs met!

If we have money for free school meals, even when it is not necessary why don't we have money for transport where is necessary!

My son attended this unit many years ago and it made such a huge difference to him I would hate to think that other kids won't be able to get the help that they need if this unit is closed.

our son went to the unit at Crimond and it changed his life! He gained so much confidence and learned how to cope with dyslexia, we can not thank his teacher Jane Stephen enough!
